One of the strangest observations I’ve made as a writer is that sometimes, for whatever unexplained reason, it is easier to write on paper and then go on the laptop to transcribe everything.
I think partially the reason is due to the fact that when you write things on paper, it remains fresh in your mind whereas, in general, we habitually tap on a screen so much that it’s like a fart in the air — we put it out there, move on and unless it’s visual, we can sometimes forget all about it and so when it is part of a continual work, we have to re-read from the top and thus making the process longer.
