What are 5 everyday things that bring you happiness?
You’ve asked and here are my answers, in no particular order!
- The softness of my cat Greyjoy’s meow and fluffy body. You know things can go well when he’s near. A natural calm.
- My daughter. For all the randomness a neurodivergent child brings along with scrambled hormones courtesy of puberty, she’s a reminder that in the face of lifestyle changes, there’s an opportunity to feed a future adult with emotional assurance, safety and confidence so that they may be a beacon of light to our ever uncertain future.
- Books. There’s always something to read, learn from, be amused by all in one. Whether it’s Berserk, Song Of Ice and Fire, Deadpool’s manga, the Bible or The Last Ronin; even if you can’t travel physically into other countries or worlds, books can take you to worlds that even a plane or boat ride can never provide.
- Coffee. The ultimate jingle of life. For some, it’s anxiety enhancement but for others, it’s a nice turbo charge to start your day…or night…or whatever.
- Music. Pick a soundtrack of a film, video game, anime. Pick an album of a favorite artist or band. It’s great for background noise when writing, creating or editing. It’s also great background filler when working out or going on a commute to work or wherever you please. This is something that brings everyone together.
