As I am in the process of re-releasing Firebutt #1: The Gathering with new chapters and art, I thought I’d bestow upon you guys every month 1 chapter (episode) of the book itself to read on my site! Down below is the 1st. Enjoy!

Some of the best material written in comic books and manga have the rare occasional thing where they put a pause on the storytelling pace with a story or freeverse of sorts that has very little to do with the story at hand. The Watchmen by Alan Moore had Tales of the Black Freighter peppered throughout the graphic novel and had those segments never been inseminated within, the classic graphic novel we know today would likely be pages thinner and possibly to the measure of almost a whole chapter. In the Bleach manga by Tite Kubo, you had bits of freeverse poetry and phrases put between some of the manga volumes and chapters. I find that little things like that add value to those tales.
For this reason, I’ll be giving Firebutt #2 a bit of a modification. I had a particular way of writing Firebutt, especially considering the various characters in his team but alas it’s come to my attention that sometimes, you need something a little less direct to keep it fresh. I noticed this as I tried to continue writing the issue and yet I find myself with blank space…or do I? Of course the counter question is due to the fact that I found poems, freeverse and short stories completely unreleased, that I can inject in between chapters in the upcoming issue to freshen the pace.
Until next time Gunz Crew,

I know, it’s been a slow few weeks and unfortunately, nothing of huge note to put up on the blog as of late. You could say it’s been a tad uneventful, kind of like last night’s Super Bowl scoreboard. Thankfully today, I have some announcements on what I’ve managed to start doing.
As more develops, the more you’ll see here but until next time, stay awesome Gunz Crew.
