One of the most difficult things I had to come to terms with by the end of 2023 was that I plunged myself into the “variety streamer” category. Some gamers can pull it off with excellence — I personally don’t believe I’m one of them.
I recall looking back at how my adventure as an online streamed began and it consisted of me doing one game play-through at a time. In all honestly, it was simpler and easier for me to edit and get things done. It’s perhaps out of desire to showcase my diversity in game genres that I ended up doing 2-3 games scheduled at a time but the problem was that it required lots of micromanagement and promotion. For me, just streaming isn’t enough; I need to edit long pauses out of the videos or menu jumping as those moments consume time and will be prone to reduce interest in tuning in.
As I wound down my play-through of Persona 3 Portable, It’s given me a chance to breathe. For the purpose of sticking to my original format, I paused streaming other unfinished games (Sonic Frontiers, Bleach Brave Souls, BlazBlue CentralFiction, Fire Emblem Three Houses) just so I can breathe and enjoy reading and drawing again. I do intend to resume Nioh 2 very soon as it’s a Souls-like whose pace can go by fairly quickly, especially if you do jolly cooperation!
I also want to take time to create shorts out of my previous work just to promote my channel and create some engagement.
