To my 322Crew,
I have to say, it was bittersweet to finally finish streaming gameplay of Persona 5 Royal. 90 episodes strong including all the confidants I hung out with, along with all the Phansite Requests. It just so happened that in the process, I fought the Reaper, won and got the Platinum Trophy. This game also put me internally through an emotional rollercoaster but also was the game that got me through life pre-pandemic and through this pandemic. Ironically, pandemic references were sprinkled through this version of Persona 5 and I had no hesitation in pointing them out.
I also enjoyed doing the Final Thoughts series in regards to my analysis of things that were embedded in each arc. Some were more relevant to contemporary events along the lines of Law and Order SVU’s way of doing the “based from the headlines” style.
Will there be more Persona 5 Royal content now that I beat the game? Yes and No. Yes because I did want to upload what happens when I don’t max my link w/Akechi, Maruki and Sumire, which leads to the original Persona 5 True Ending. I also forgot to show you guys what happens if you accept Yaldabaoth’s offer — of which I would present so that you can see how different the aftermath is leading to Strikers.
I will also do an Arcana analysis series playlist where I specifically speak on each character and their specific arcana, its relevance in terms to their bond and journey w/the protagonist.
At this present time, I have resumed streaming Persona 5 Strikers, which is the sequel and while it has been a much faster game to get through due to the absence of social links and the oversimplification of the Velvet Room and item shops, that doesn’t take away it’s strength in storytelling. I would argue that if I made a fully condensed version of the P5R story on a playlist without social link hangouts, mini games or Phansite Requests, P5R would likely have been a much shorter game.
I have down below the link to the P5R playlist for those interested in the game, as well as my commentary, for your enjoyment!
