Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?
I may or may not get burnt for this. Here goes — it means having love & devotion to one’s country. That’s the textbook definition and by that alone, I’m not patriotic at all.
I may be an American but I can’t, in good conscience, live by what our nation dictates.
My love & devotion is to my daughter, cat, the friends I’ve developed friendships with and my girlfriend.
