I’m about halfway through editing FireFrei and even while transferring, I found myself adding some more descriptors and more detail in some dialogue. The novel is officially in the 200+ page territory and thus bigger than FireButt. It’s a nice update to fill everyone in on.

In the process, I have reached the 12th chapter of Drafts and I must say, this last chapter of its first round of stories is fun. The protagonist you meet has traveled various parts of Old York, found an unexpected love interest, takes a curious child as his son of sorts and a precious talking cat as a companion. He then runs into an old man that tests his skill in a very interesting place and well, let’s just say there is no shortage of references between Elden Ring, Bleach, Final Fantasy X and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

I don’t hold back on the inspirations that guide my story and admittedly wear them on my sleeve but if you don’t know anything about the inspirations behind my stories, you’d never suspect. Those that know will know. Some folks shy from speaking their inspirations but I’m of the camp that having them be referenced is a great thing — because in the process, people may search and then grow fond of the things that brought you joy in writing to begin with.
